Toronto, Canada - September 25, 2017 /PressCable/ —
RoofAgents is announcing the launch of its roof restoration service for commercial buildings at a fraction of the cost of a new roof.
The commercial roof restoration service is expected to save building owners up to a third of the cost associated with full roof replacement. The cost savings is a welcomed option for Owners who are looking to extend the life of their existing roof by 15-20 years.
RoofAgents has launched the service officially this past summer with the successful completion of restoring a gravel flat roof for a Mississauga commercial building. The project involved conducting an independent roof inspection and infrared testing to identify any problem areas that would need addressing during the service.
David Corcoran, Owner at RoofAgents states: “Our roof restoration service is saving building owners a significant amount of money and yet it still provides a similar lifecycle to installing a new roof.” They plan to promote the service in Mississauga initially with the expectation to extend services throughout South Western Ontario.
Typically, the manufactures requirements for the restoration material used requires a minimum temperature for installation, therefore, it is not an application that can be applied in the winter months, at least for Mississauga & surrounding areas. Corcoran states: “Although the restoration service is seasonal and we’re currently approaching the winter months, there is a lot of work that we can complete in the meantime in order to qualify and prepare details for the building owner. This would start with a full roof inspection and diagnostics of the existing roof membrane to determine its current condition.”
Another benefit for building owners is that the roof restoration option qualifies as a maintenance expenditure versus roof replacement where it’s considered a capital expense. This allows commercial building owners to apply the total cost of the restoration service in the current taxation year. Corcoran states: “the taxable benefit is huge and is an added incentive for Owners to seriously consider the restoration option prior to the roofs end of life”.
The roof restoration service is expected to divert a significant amount of waste from local landfill sites in Mississauga. Corcoran affirms: “quite simply we’re taking an old roof and making it new again, all while saving an incredible amount of waste from hitting the local dump.” They expect this benefit to be well received especially in Mississauga where waste management has been an on-going issue for the city.
RoofAgents represents qualified commercial roofing contractors from Mississauga and the surrounding cities that specialize in roof restoration services. Corcoran states: “from my past experience working with a roofing manufacturer, I have inspected Mississauga flat roofs that are still rock solid after 20 years from being restored. We also include new flashing material around the perimeter and roof penetrations to ensure longevity in this roofing maintenance solution.”
